This is the best sushi restaurant in Chicago. Everything on the menu is a banger. After I had the fried rice, I dreamed of it for months. The sushi is the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. It’s unreal. If you’re not eating here, you’re missing out on 7/8ths of what life is really about.

We discovered this place by accident . The place is a gem. The staff is very friendly and professional. The sushi was unique and exquisite. The staff was very accommodating and extremely professional. I can’t wait to go back.

One of the best sushi dinners I've had anywhere in the USA. I was dining alone on a Saturday night, so went early and sat at the bar and had a very nice experience. I ordered several different pieces of nigiri incl tuna, octopus, salmon and eel and every single one was delicious! Quality, presentation, flavor all superb. Their seaweed salad is also terrific. Highly recommend.

I have been eating at Mirai for 20 years. Reading any of these negative reviews makes me angry because this is by far, hands down, the best sushi restaurant in Chicago. Every ingredient is sourced to be the best it can be, the dishes are both authentic yet innovative, and every bite I have ever eaten has always been spectacular. The owner is wonderful, the food is to die for, and eating here is a true gift. Order all the nigiri, (especially the shiitake tuna and kani nigiri!!) the shrimp togarashi, the fried rice, tuna tuna salmon, the special salmon roll, octopus hand roll.

I had not been to Mirai in years, but it was just as good as it was then. The quality of the sushi is excellent and the rolls take an exquisite approach without smothering them in sauces and cream cheese. If you're a true sushi connoisseur, you'll appreciate the experience. The friendly service makes you feel at home in this intimate setting. Bravo!

The service was very attentive and knowledgeable. Their recommendations of wine and food was on point. The atmosphere is quaint. The fish was the freshest I've ever had. The taste and menu is very authentic. I will definitely be coming back here and will recommend to family and friends

Wonderfully welcoming. A true gem for sushi with an original take plus delicious fresh wasabi. I won’t recommend anything in particular as everything we had was superb. Let your palette be your guide. Looking forward to my next visit.

After spending a whole day in McCormick Convention Center, I tried this place for the first time to relax and fill my stomach. The lady who attended to me was really pleasant to talk with and food served was authentic with a hint of creativity that you would not find in Japan. I’m Japanese, born in Japan and living in Texas. I like the delicate cooking sense of the chef. Highly recommended.
